What is PWNSAT 2025?

PWNSAT (Physics Wallah National Scholarship cum Admission Test) is a scholarship exam organised by Physics Wallah (PW). The goal is to help students get good coaching support, reduce costs, and reward top performers. It is open for students from classes 5 to 12, as well as those who have passed class 12 (droppers), preparing for JEE / NEET or foundation courses.

The exam is held in both online and offline modes, giving flexibility to students.

Note: For offline exams, candidates need to register at least 4 days before the chosen test date. For online exams, registration must be done at least 1 day before the selected exam date.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • You are currently in class 5 to class 12, or you have passed class 12 and are preparing for competitive exams (a dropper).
  • You are an Indian citizen.
  • You study under a recognised board (CBSE / ICSE / State Board / NIOS).
  • You are not already enrolled in a PW Vidyapeeth or Pathshala program via an earlier PWNSAT scholarship.

Because the exam is scholarship-based, the selection is merit-based: your score in PWNSAT will decide if you receive benefits.

How to Register (Online & Offline)

Online Registration

  1. Visit the official PW / PWNSAT scholarship site (for example, pw.live/scholarship/nsat/vidyapeeth).
  2. Find the “Register for Free” or “Apply Now” option.
  3. Enter your mobile number for OTP verification.
  4. Fill in personal & academic details: name, class, board, school, etc.
  5. Choose exam mode (online or offline) and a preferred exam date (from the allowed window).
  6. Submit the form. There is no registration fee.
  7. After successful registration, you will get confirmation (via SMS, email or app).

Make sure to register at least 1 day before your selected online test date.

Offline Registration

  • Visit a PW Vidyapeeth centre or a designated school that handles offline registrations.
  • Ask for a physical registration form, and fill in all required details.
  • Submit the form at least 4 days before your preferred offline exam date.
  • You will receive a receipt or confirmation slip; keep it safely.

Admit Card

The admit card is a must to take the exam—without it, you may be denied entry.

When & How to Get It

  • Admit cards will be released around September 2025.
  • Once released, you’ll be able to download it from the official site (or sometimes via the PW mobile app).
  • You may have to enter your registered mobile number or roll number to fetch your admit card.
  • Download it, check all details (name, exam date, time, venue/link), take a printout, and carry it to the exam centre (for offline) or have it ready (for online).

Exam Format & Pattern

  • The exam is 60 minutes long for all students.
  • It is composed of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The number of questions is around 40 (this may vary by class or stream).
  • The syllabus is based on the NCERT / standard curriculum for each class.
  • For lower classes (5–10), subjects include: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (if applicable), and Mental Ability.
  • For higher classes (11, 12 / JEE / NEET aspirants), the exam may include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, depending on your choice of stream (engineering / medical).

An offline exam will be held in shifts, commonly:

  • Morning shift: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Afternoon shift: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

In online mode, the exam window is broad (from midnight to 11:59 PM) during the allowed days.

Result

After the exam ends, PW will evaluate the tests and publish the results.

  • Results are expected in October 2025.
  • To check your result, you will likely need your registration/roll number on PW’s official website.
  • The result will show your marks, rank (All India Rank), and whether you are eligible for scholarship / rewards.
  • PW may also notify you via emails, SMS, and app notifications about the result and next steps.

  • For the online exam, ensure your internet connection is reliable, your device meets the requirements, and you are in a quiet place.
