NIOS Date Sheet 2025 Out for Class 10 & 12 – Download Exam Timetable Here

What is NIOS?

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) provides board exams for students who study through open and distance learning. It’s a recognised board, just like CBSE or ICSE. NIOS holds public examinations for Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) twice a year: in the April-May session and in the October-November session.

What’s New: Date Sheet 2025

NIOS has released the date sheet for Class 10 & Class 12 theory exams for the October-November 2025 session. The exams will start on October 14, 2025, and end on November 18, 2025. That means students have some time to prepare once they get the full subject-wise schedule.

Practical exams for both classes have already been done between September 12 and 27, 2025.

Also, the admit card (hall ticket) for theory exams will be made available via student login on the NIOS website.

What Students Should Do After the Date Sheet Out

Here’s a checklist so you don’t miss anything:

  1. Download the date sheet PDF. Check it from the official NIOS site — sdmis.nios.ac.in or nios.ac.in.

  2. Get your admit card. Use the student login section on the official website. Make sure it has correct information: your name, exam centre, timing, etc.

  3. Check subject-wise exam timings. Some exams are longer than others. The timings will vary.

  4. Pay any exam fees if you haven’t already. You need to have done this to be allowed to appear.

  5. Plan your study schedule. Use the remaining time well. Prioritise subjects you find tougher.

  6. Collect required stationery or materials. On exam days, you need certain things ready (pens, pencils, ID, etc.).

Time & Timing Details

  • Theory exams are offline (pen & paper) format.

  • Exam centres will be both inside India and some overseas centres as well.

  • Exam times usually are between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for many subjects. Some minor/short subjects may have shorter duration or different timing.

What Happens After Exams

  • Once exams finish (November 18, 2025), results will be declared. Students can expect result announcement about 7 weeks after that date.

  • Students must clear both the practical and theory parts to get their mark-sheet-cum-certificate and migration / transfer certificate.

  • Certificates will be posted to student’s residential address if needed.

Tips to Prepare Well

Since you know exam dates now, here are some practical preparation tips:

  • Make a revision plan that allows enough time for every subject.

  • Practice past year or sample papers under timed conditions. That helps with speed and managing time in the actual exam.

  • Focus especially on subjects where you are weak. Don’t leave them for the last days.

  • Read exam instructions carefully in your date sheet and admit card (exam centre rules, reporting time, what to carry, etc.).

  • Get enough rest the day before the exam. Exam preparation is mental work; you need rest to do well.
